Part of the reason I enjoyed this book is because it’s set partly in Hebden Bridge, in Yorkshire, and takes in parts of Lancashire! However, beyond that, it is an enjoyable, adventurous story about a group of witches and discusses lots of issues such as patriarchy, transphobia and racism, as part of the story.  The book is a little slow in places as each of the four central characters takes over the narration. While this means each character gives their personal point of view of the story, it does make the narrative lag a bit at times. Will certainly read the sequel!
