The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde

5.0

after finishing this novel, I feel more confidence about my assumption that I once came with: the price of beauty is superficiality..

this novel took me to the great 19th century, in my opinion, the most extraordinary century.. most of the great minds that still have an impact on our lives lived during that century.. philosophers, writers, psychologists, artists... the century of the fancy manners and fancy houses, when people were concerned about art, beauty, science...

but like any other age, It had its thrones.. the novel is very interesting and it was -for me- a great introduction to the classical literature in general, and Oscar Wilde specifically, the one can not admire Oscar's beautiful language, and his ability to describe everything, from the landscapes to the houses, to the food.. he takes the reader into a different realm, this book is beautiful, linguistically speaking and plot..

I recommend reading the book while listening to medieval music, you can find it on YouTube..
this book will make you admire Dorian Gray, just like everyone around him!
