The Guncle Abroad by Steven Rowley

3.5

3.5 stars ... an enjoyable sequel, one that wasn't really needed. Interestingly enough, there is a discussion of sequels (Patrick doesn't want to do any sequels in his acting work). That if there was a HEA in the first, a sequel has to "undo" that to continue the story.

I borrowed the audio and Kindle copy from the library - went primarily with the audio, narrated by the author. I missed Grant's lisp, as this is five years after the first book, and he's mostly outgrown it.

There were LOTS of book/movie references - some very well known (Sound of Music, several fun scenes connecting to that) but others I felt like I knew, but wasn't sure the majority of readers would? Quite a bit of discussion about the [book:The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love that Lasts|23878688].

The ending was a little too pat/predictable, tied up in a bow.
