Through the Ashes by Julia Wolf

WOW! This book is deep! I loved Asher and Bex SO much I didn't want it to end. Objectively, there are some DARK themes in this book, like, no spoilers but these kids have both been put through the ringer! They are both going through something terrible, and neither of them are dealing with it in a very healthy way so they forge their own path. Bex is so strong and constantly being overlooked. Asher is dead set on what he feels is the right way to deal with the trauma but even HE can see while he's not evil he's certainly not in any way nice to Bex. Both of them are let down by their parents and are able to find some semblance of peace with each other. They most certainly deserve their happy ever after! I hated for them to go through so much pain. To be together they both have to overcome things within themselves and heal their own pain before helping each other heal. Its just a beautiful story and I loved them together! They are so deserving of the happiness they find in each other. I also LOVE Gabe so I'm super excited his story is next! This author just keeps outdoing herself so I can't wait to see what she has in store for him!
