A Magical New York Christmas
by Anita Hughes
This is really probably a 4.5 for me. I really wish we could do half stars on Goodreads! LOL! I didn't give it a 5 just because it was a little too sweet (Hallmark-y), but I'm also not sure how I would change it.
I LOVED that the book took place in NYC over Christmas and now I absolutely want to make a trip there sometime in December in the coming years. I also really enjoyed the historical fiction piece with the Plaza Hotel and the back story of Kay Thompson. My youngest daughter loved the Eloise books when she was young. So it was fun to read about her time there.
I didn't love Sabrina, Ian, or Spencer as characters. There were times that each of them annoyed me. I think that is what kept me from giving this book 5 stars. The city, the hotel, and the supporting characters and their stories really were what made this book!
