I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH OH MY GOD!!

I wanted to keep up my streak of reading at least one vampire book per month during 2024, and forgot that I had already read Bride at the beginning of this month. But I'm so happy I picked this one up as well, because it was 100x better than Bride anyways (yes I know they're two completely different vibes and I DON'T CARE).

I for one have never actually read anything or watched any movies/shows about Dracula, so I went in with no knowledge other than the fact that he is the Main Vampire we all know and (don't really) love. And you don't need any knowledge for this book, because this focuses on Constanta who is the superior vampire and the ultimate Wife of Dracula.

This book had so much happen in less than 300 pages, but all of it was well-written and caused me to feel so many emotions. Within the first 10 pages I was hooked and rooting for Constanta to rule the world. This is a story of love in many different forms, domestic abuse, internal strength, and then also just how crazy it would be to actually be a vampire.

A Dowry of Blood is definitely going to be one that I pick up again and again in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
