The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin

5.0

Just... wow! This was such a fantastic read. It's like, this is what Dean Koontz could write if he were on steroids and actually took the time to create a masterpiece instead of pushing out several small works of art to either get the ideas out of his head or attrmpt to make more money. Not sure if that makes sense to anyone but me but alas, 'tis how my brain operates.

There's still a few things I don't understand after finishing the first book. It may be that I was so enthralled and read to quickly, or those may be explained in future books. We'll find out.

This was such a different way of writing that it immediately pulled me in. I actually really enjoyed the 2nd person POV. I definitely understand why it recieved the Hugo award.

If you've got this on your TBR list, read it! Read it now. It was truly fascinating.
