The word intimate in the title is a gross understatement.
Motherhood in this book is totally unfiltered and the angle taken is so raw with emotion.
In reading the father’s section I see the yin and yang perfectly with these parents. They tell their story perfectly in unison and with individuality preserved at the same time. It was just poetic for me.
While I am not a huge fan of raunchy comedy, she made me giggle in some of her letters to her girls, and could imagine her girls later in life saying “ohemgee Mom” with a hand to the forehead while reading about her comedic style, and giggling. Because who doesn’t have a mom who is embarrassing and funny at the same time?
