DI Nick Dixon was assigned to a case where a man had a heart attack but the heart attack occurred because he was attacked.  Jane has been promoted and is receiving training about crimes against children which is proving to be very difficult for her.  Nick and his team work to try to figure out who would want to kill the victim and found he was a soldier in the Falklands War.  He received a medal for his service.  But, as Nick investigates he finds some significant inconsistencies.  The mystery was twisty with many different things going on.  I very much enjoyed that mystery.  I also loved that we got to see more of Nick and Jane as a couple.  Nick is very proud of Jane's accomplishments.  He is very supportive of her in the things going on in her personal life.
