I received an ARC of this novella through Booksprout

This book was amazing and, honestly, I didn't expect anything less. I have enjoyed the Immortal World Series so much since I first started reading it last year, and with each book I read within the series the more I love it. The characters and the world are always so unique, not once straying into overdone territory.

The story within this one follows Celeste and Tanner, two vampires from opposing clans that find themselves within a forbidden romance--a romance you'll find yourself rooting for throughout. Using Romeo & Juliet as a source of inspiration for this was a perfect choice. It works so well within the immortal world, and adds to the passion between the characters.

This novella is set at the time of the first book, Only The Stars Know, and I would suggest that you read that book before reading this one. It's not a drawback, though, for it'd just make the two stories weave seamlessly together and enhance your reading experience. However, if you decide not to read the first book prior to this, I think you'll still quickly catch on to all that is happening.

This was a fantastic novella that, honestly, I wish was longer so I could spend more time with the characters. I already feel the itch to reread this, experience the struggle not only for love but for building a home all over again. The writing is virtually flawless, with minor errors here and there. A great edition to paint an even bigger picture of the series.
