This book was unexpectedly endearing. Unlike most other danmeis that I've read, this was more lighthearted and sometimes even funny. There were times when I found myself laughing out loud at the antics of the characters here.
However, I did not feel the romance in this book. It takes a while for the readers to realize who the ML actually is, but even once that is established, there is little to no romantic interaction between the two leads. So much so that even by the end I was left dissatisfied and a bit unsure about the extent of their feelings towards each other.
The story was more of two characters living their lives, rather than two people falling head over heels for each other (which is what I've come to love about danmeis). There were a lot of unanswered questions too, that just added to my confusion about who feels what for who.
