The first jump into Sanderson, listened with my husband. We were both very unsure of it, kind of wondering why it was so popular at first, but maybe we just didn't care for the narrator as 1x speed. Even the slight bump up to 1.2 made all the difference for us and we were sold from that point on.
I do like the unique magic system and the world building, there is some light humor that breaks up the very dreary atmosphere. The pace is slow, but there's a lot to take in with the characters, especially the growth in Vin. But the twist for me beingme stomping in my huge Sanderfan boss's office the next morning to say "What do you mean Kelsier dies??" and he just smiled. I do look forward to continuing it.
