"You are the only person I ever wanted to tell things to. The idea of you being with someone else...even just texting them...him...even before I saw your face or heard your voice, Rube... I don't want you with anybody else. You're my Ruby, and you have been for a long time."
The Aarons have pulled it off again people
Aarons remain to be superior. We have Aaron Warner, Aaron Blackford and now we have Aaron Hall. At this point, I honestly think having the name Aaron is a huge green flag.

Can we talk about how perfect Ruby and Aaron are? I'm completely in love with these two and the beautiful relationship they have. This book is just so precious. I love books with letters/emails/pen pals and this book just blew me away.
Ruby was such a cute and relatable character. She is a hopeless romantic but a certain event has left her heart broken and her self esteem took a hit after that. But with Aaron she realised that love is not supposed to make her feel like that but rather liberating and complete. With Aaron she could be who she was without shying away, without hiding parts of herself that made her simply her, Ruby. I loved seeing her try to be brave everyday.
I loved Aaron and how kind and open he was with Ruby all along. I loved their interactions and his little gestures towards Ruby. Their letters and emails were the highlight for me. But then when they finally met up, it was magic and I loved it. All of the stolen glances, all of the obsessing over one another was magic.
I loved the couple, their chemistry, their individual personalities. How they got to know each other more and support each other with their different problems and the trust they forge, among other things is so beautiful to read.
Ruby and Aaron are my soft sunshine/sunshine duo who deserve the world. 🫶🏻
