iffer 's review for:
The Golden Orchard
by Flora Ahn
I really liked the ideas in this book, but it felt like a lot crammed into one book/rushed because that's all that Audible paid for? It looks like the story of this is very similar to the author's A Spoonful of Time, which has a copyright of 3 years later, so I'm not sure if the story was expanded upon of just given a physical and ebook form.
Anyway, I like the way in which this book depicts the way in which food can play such a big roll in bonding and memory creation. It's also an age-appropriate depiction of both the blessing and difficulty of dealing with an aging family member with dementia. I loved the visual of the Golden orchard and the ways in which our branches engage with each other's.
