I believe this was a great horror novel, but I got a little lost in the plot some. I know french, but I didn't really know enough to keep from getting confused. I liked the Black Swan type element to it though. I'll give the second novel a try and see how I like it.
Graphic: Body horror, Body shaming, Blood
Moderate: Emotional abuse, Self harm, Murder, Toxic friendship, Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Gore, Vomit, Classism
