Rhythm, Chord & Malykhin by Mariana Zapata

2.0

This was definitely not my favourite Mariana Zapata novel. It was too short, the ending was hurried and the epilogue was really unsatisfying. I love a slow burn romance as much as the next person, but if it doesn't come with a big, honking, sexy payout when the MC's finally get together, then what's the point? Unfortunately, this book lacked the charm and humour of Lingus and the under-your-skin sexiness of Kulti and just didn't float my boat at all. It felt like a first draft for the *idea* of a novel rather than a fully realized story. At most, this was a 2 1/2 star read for me.
