Into the Water
by Paula Hawkins
2.5 stars (barely)
This book was a pretty big disappointment compared to The Girl on the Train. There were so many characters and narrators that it was a little tough to keep track of everything. There were so many plots when in reality there are only two or three important characters and themes. Every character, including ones that don't mean anything to the overall outcome of the story, has some form of narration and it's just so confusing. The ending is something that the author must have thought, "oh shit, there's no way I can tie up all these loose ends so I'm just gonna PULL THIS ENDING OUT OF MY ASS AND CALL IT A DAY."
Obviously, I didn't enjoy it.
Overall, the story line is something interesting, but there are more negatives to the writing aspect than positives. Read at your own risk, I think.
