i really wish i enjoyed this book more. i absolutely adored the previous two books, and while i still enjoyed my time reading this, it didn’t hit as hard, especially following faye and lincoln. honestly, i think i was more interested in their continued story in this than hadley’s, which is really disappointing because i loved hadley’s character in the other books.
similarly, i enjoyed ace and hadley, but they had a certain aspect that came with them simply having to resist each other and their teasing, and so when that was gone, the book kind of fell flat.
now, this doesn’t discredit the lovely work the author does to develop their relationship, because i could truly feel their love, it just wasn’t as exciting as i thought it would be, and that’s okay.
i still really enjoyed this book, and i loved it as a closing to the foxx boys series. seeing all the boys finally get their happy endings. (though it was kind of interesting how there was no mention of the foxx boys curse, even if it was proven false).
i loved watching all the previous characters interact and it was so enjoyable, especially grizz.
