This book was super-short and would have been better developed into a full novel. It was way too rushed and as a result, was clumsy. I didn’t realize I was jumping in at book 1.5 and considered reading the series, however I listened to the audiobook and the presenters voice was so irritating. Granted I listen to things sped up but even without that her tone and accent grated on me. If I read the series, it will definitely be in written form, not audio. Though I didn’t love the main characters so it’s unlikely. This is probably mostly due to the lack of character development thanks to the length, but still.
