All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata
5.0

This was my first Mariana Zapata book — and oh my God, how good it was! Now I understand why she’s called the queen of slow burn. This was the slowest of burns, but in the best possible way. Usually, when characters take that long to get together, I get irritated, but not with this book.

Wow. What a beautiful story. I loved how it took time for Aurora and Rhodes to get to where they ended up. How grumpy he was at first, and how sweet he became once he finally accepted how much he cared about her. I especially appreciated how mature both characters were — not twenty-somethings with stars in their eyes, but two adults who knew they wanted a family, and found it in each other. The age gap was a bonus too — who doesn’t love a good older man romance?

Also, this book felt so nostalgic for me — all the hikes, the national parks, the camping, the beautiful Navajo lands. We just came back from the U.S., which was the best trip of our lives, and that’s one of the reasons I couldn’t put this book down. It let me relive all those hikes and outdoor adventures again.

Loved it so much!
