The Empty Chair: Lincoln Rhyme Book 3 by Jeffery Deaver

4.0

Though very entertaining, as usual, the third book in the Lincoln Rhyme series is sort of far-fetched. At several points it got comically dramatic (yes, there is a scene where a character bursts into a courtroom right before a damning verdict is read) and the villains were petty darn cartoony and unbelievably numerous, and my darling Amelia was acting so irrational, I'm surprised she wasn't discharged at least fifteen times. Lincoln is a "fish out of water" in this one, and I have to agree that he just doesn't seem like the brilliant criminologist that he was back in New York.

And am I the only one who had to do a double-take on that Thom and AIDS comment? <___<
