The Killing Kind, Volume 3: A Charlie Parker Thriller by John Connolly

mysterious medium-paced

3.75

The supernatural element really shines with this book. The religious, fanatical, zealot killers almost took on a supernatural quality themselves with how they could kill, move around, with impunity. Having his "trusty sidekicks" Angel and Louis were a plus. Killing off the golem is the book was a waste; that character would have been useful in Song of Shadows...and for such a bad ass, assassin, to be taken out as easily as he was let the character down.  Speaking of killing characters off too quickly, why kill the mafioso when he did; these characters should've stayed around for future intrigue. The relationship between Parker and Rachel is moving too quickly; it should've slowed down so the characters could become friends first.
