Wow! I honestly started this book out feeling like I was going to find it dull and uninteresting. Still I figured I owed it to myself to try and finish the Maasverse this year. Definitely did not expect to love this one as much as I did! It definitely starts out on the slower side and was a little confusing until I looked up a spoiler-free guide to the world building, but once I started understanding more and the pace picked up, I was hooked! It really picked up by part 4 and by that time I was HOOKED! Only reason for giving 4.5 stars is because there were a few confusing parts where it was just a little hard to follow and understand but overall it was still incredible and an amazing book! Curious to see where the story goes in the next book!
