The first book I read of Han Kang will always have a special place in my heart. She manages to catch the experience of being a woman in an environment where everyone seems to be looking to control you. Yeong-hye is the protagonist of the book, and while I wouldn’t call her any type of MC she is the plot that keeps the book going. An addictive read where every flip of a page has you following in the downfall of Yeong-hye. I’d say that these three words summed up my experience reading it very well; heartbreak, sorrow and anger. Pretty much aligned with the female experience of living
