Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman
dark
funny
3.75
If you’ve ever played a RPG in any capacity, you’ll get the humor in this book. I was expecting more silly humor when I heard a guy dungeon crawling with his ex-gf’s cat. So, the crude/cringey bits had me liking it less.
Definitely has a balance between serious/funny and silly/crude. There is an underlying political plot. But it must be dragged out through the next books because you’ll only get a hint of it here. Not sure if I’ll continue this series or just enjoy the one.
I would recommend this for adults who play RPGs. I wouldn’t personally recommend it for teens.
