The Word Is Murder by Anthony Horowitz
5.0

This was SUCH a fun and excellent mystery!!!! Completely drew me in, completely had me guessing (or rather, had me so confident that the author was going to be too clever for me that I didn't bother guessing), was so well written, felt like watching a movie (which makes so much sense, given the author), was such an interesting and well done story — WOW loved it!!!!!!! I want to read so much more Horowitz!!

(Everything was vivid, except that I could not picture Hawthorne. But that almost seems like a strategic stroke of brilliance? For a book that is pretending not to be fiction but centered around one fictional character? Hmm)

I'm a mystery girly!! My comfort read. But I hold them to a high standard and I am so delighted to have found a modern author who lives up to it.

Also my weakness since having been there finally is books set in London
