Saltburn meets Sweeney Todd meets American Psycho meets White Lotus meets A Christmas Carol?
This book was something else! Not for the faint of heart or stomach because there’s a lot of graphic description, but it’s also balanced by the dry sense of humor that I certainly appreciated. Who doesn’t love a witty Victorian female lead character? Even if she is a true psychopath with no sense of real emotion and a desire to kill. You really don’t know if you should hate or root for Winifred Notty when you read this. Maybe we’re all a little bit psycho.
