Fireflies at 3 am
by Danni Thomas
--I love
What children do
They keep alive
The dying child in you--
"Fireflies at 3 am" is a collection of poetries and a few short stories by Danni Thomas therefore gaining its name, shoetries.
Ok firstly even this is one of those books which I chose because of the the cover and the name of the book, it was really unique and different and beautiful.
The poetries are from all point of views, it is on kids, on adults, on dogs and on everything. Of course with all the poetry books, I liked some of them more than the others.
The short stories were quite impressive as well however they didn't seem to go on with the connected poetry.
There were beautiful illustrations all over the books which I really loved.
Overall as a poetry book I don't think I really really loved the book, I just felt like some of the poetries were just random and some of them I couldn't connect to. That's why I would give it 2⭐
