The cover doesn't match the vibe
of this book at all, which isn't a bad
thing!
I started this one with low
expectations and honestly was
surprised. It pulled me in from the
beginning.

As a person who suffers from a chronic
illness, this book spoke to my soul.
How the fmc would "disappear into
the space between black letters on a
white page. Becoming something else.
Someone else. Someone not in pain."

I've never felt more seen because
iread to disassociate on days it's
impossible to get a handle on my own
pain.

I loved how Fox and Cady started
talking and what unfolded from there,
Learning about his struggles was
heartbreaking and how close he was
to giving up when she answered the
phone.

I understand how this book wouldn't
be for everyone going by reviews,
and some things discussed would
be triggering for some people. I
personally liked the writing style,
references to books, banter, and
comedy throughout. l'll be continuing
the series.
