The Day I Stopped Falling for Jerks by Max Monroe
4.0
Got an Arc and foolishly started reading this in bed on Friday night and then could not stop reading. I got sleepy and thought maybe I can put it down and get some sleep since it’s like 2am but nope...did not sleep until I finished every word.
I wasn’t sure what to expect of this book. I read the blurb but it doesn’t give too much away so I really tried to come in blind. And to say that this book brought me in is an understatement. I totally related to Lucky right off the bat. I remember being her age and having relationships similar to hers. I remember the days of swearing off these guys!
I like the format. It’s put forth as if you’re listening to Lucky do a podcast based on the events of the book. It felt very personal and really like you’re listening to someone just telling you a story.
I really love Lucky’s personality. She’s funny and snarky and witty and awkward all in one. I saw myself in so many different aspects of her personality.
I swooned over Ollie. He grew on me so much as the story went on. How he went from being a jerk to this thoughtful, considerate man. Maybe he was never really a jerk. And I can’t wait to hear his side of the story.
Now give me book 2!!!!
