The Bone Shard Daughter by Andrea Stewart

3.0

Actual Rating: 3.5 stars

I was expecting a lot more from this book, especially with all of the fantastic reviews. The magic system was unique but it fell apart a bit at the end of the book. There were moments that were truly creepy and unnerving and I think the author intended that, but it was a bit much for me. The major thing with this book was the pacing, which was incredibly slow and very little seemed to happen despite the length of this book. I think this was a good set up for the next book in the series, but I don't know if I am invested enough to feel inclined to pick up the sequel.
