I've decided that I'm going to DNF the next book I read if the main character's eyes are cerulean. When I started reading and saw that used as a descriptor, I was truly excited because it reminded me of the old Wattpad romances back in 2011, I used to read back in middle school where everyone MC had pin-straight jet-black hair and cerulean eyes (which were so entertaining and I loved them). But, literally, wtf happened in this book? I wouldn't have rated it so low if it wasn't for the epilogue. **MAJOR SPOILER** This whole story was just made up. It's literally like when you were in elementary school and you used the "oh it was a dream the whole time" ending and thought you were a genius. But I felt like I just wasted my time reading this book because of that. Hazel clearly needs therapy to discuss her issues with her "best friend" if she made her BEST FRIEND the villain in a story she wrote. If I was Naveah, and I read that story and saw how Hazel villainized a character based on me that would be my villain origin story. So basically, the epilogue ruined the whole book for me. I would have rated this book 2 stars maybe even 2.5 if it wasn't for the epilogue, but truly it ruined the entire experience for me.
