Pillow Talk
by Luke Prescott
This was a fantastic story about two people you didn't really find good until you got into the story. I loved it, truly a great story but I can say I didn't start rooting for them as a couple until a few chapters in. I liked Owen from the start, dirty talking alpha male, but he didn't hide the fact he was out to get himself laid, he owned it and his honesty about it was refreshing. Initially I wanted better for him because Brooke couldn't give him what he clearly needed (which was love, even though he didn't know he needed it). Their journey wasn't easy and I liked that, because it made it more real. They had more struggles than you find in a normal romance story and I found it refreshing. I love HEAs but I don't like stories where thats all you can see for the couple from the beginning. It needs to have conflict to be real, life has conflict, this book has conflict. Once we got to the point that Brooke redeemed herself to me as a character then I started to get on board with their ending and genuinely hoped for them to end up together. This author gives you plenty of emotions throughout this fairly quick read, and more than enough heat to go along with it. Perfect book to curl up with on a chilly winter day!
