Ice Contact by Ellie K. Drake
5.0
I'm so glad I had the opportunity to read Ellie K. Drake's debut novel. If I didn't know this was a debut, I never would've thought so. The writing was fantastic, the plot was incredible and all the characters were so fun and lovable. Not only were Olivia and Hayes stand out MC's but the supporting crew was pretty darn great in their own right.
Listen, I will always be down bad for a he falls first MC and Hayes was a goner for Olivia the moment he laid eyes on her and heard her sing. Hayes comes to Olivia's rescue after her douche canoe boyfriend leaves her to fend for herself, and he is smitten.
Surprise, surprise when she ends up being the National Anthem singer for his hockey team. When the BF becomes an ex, Hayes sees this as his opportunity to get the girl, only the ex has left Olivia feeling insecure and unsure of herself. Our man Hayes ain't having that and makes it his mission to be all that Olivia needs and deserves. The bond and connection these two shared was sweet and spicy and I loved how hard and fast they fell.
I'm already so excited for book two!
