when piper throws too big of a party and lands herself in jail, her parents send her to her dead dad's old town and tell her to figure her shit out. she meets brenden, a very gruff and stoic crab fisherman, and the rest is, as they say, history.

a quick read! tessa bailey writes some good romance (and smut) i must say. all the characters were very well developed and rounded, and they seemed to bounce off the page! piper was my favorite, and her relationship with her sister was a highlight. the romantic relationship was well done as well! they both complimented each other and were vv cute. my only complaint was the third act conflict. i felt that it was unnecessary and violated character traits and thought patterns we had already set up. i understand why it was needed for piper's end-of-book development, but it was done in a way that i felt went against the established characters.

overall, very cute and i had a lot of fun! will be reading hannah's book, WHICH IS FRIENDS TO LOVERS MWA MWA
