I've always loved Judy Blume so this was a great re-read for me. I think I read it much later in life but I wish I had read it earlier because pre-teen me would have resonated with a lot of what was going on in the book, not just as a girl but as someone struggling to find religion. It's just a nice honest look into the woes and thoughts of a 12-year-old. I enjoy how much it doesn't shy away from menstruation, hormones, and how much young adults know more than grown-ups give them credit for.
