I adored this series. I initially came across it after Alice Oseman, the creator of Heartstopper, posted a review saying she loved it which lead me to comments likening the series to Heartstopper. I’ve been in a little bit of a reading rut and this brought me right out of it. The drawings are well done, the frames of the story are well paced, and it’s an easy to follow read. But it’s the characters that are the heart of this really incredible story. Every single one is so well crafted and so realistic that it feels like they could be anyone you know. The way in which sexuality is handled is excellent. It’s done with such compassion and care while simultaneously showcasing the reality of how sexuality is discussed and perceived. The stories were so beautifully done, I’m quite sad there won’t be more.
