Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

2.0

I was quite disappointed with this Colleen Hoover book compared to other ones I've read. I don't think I've read so many similes in a book since reading Cassandra Clare novels. And if the main character, Tate, mentioned being nothing but liquid when around Miles one more time I was going to scream. I also didn't particularly liked the chapters that were written from Miles' perspective from 6 years ago. While, I understand we needed that insight into the story, I just didn't like the format in which they were written. The text was centered and it felt more like reading poetry than fiction. This book felt more like a story about self-sabotage in staying a toxic relationship than actually a love story. Just not for me.
