Certaintly an interesting book, and even if I could have done without the misogyny and homophobia, I did somehow enjoy it quite a lot. What always gets me with Murakami is the characters and how weird and human they are. Life is just weird, death is sudden and unexplainable, and all we can do is our best in an awful situation. I was quite touched in the 10th chapter, and I was crying when I got to the 11th and last chapter.
