After reading Sinners Anonymous and enjoying it, it seemed logical to continue with the second book in the series. Good for me because I preferred this sequel to the first book.
I still don’t think I’m the intended audience for Mafia romances, but I have no problem admitting that Rafe and Penny’s personalities made me really enjoy this book – if you leave aside the mafia stuff, which doesn’t necessarily interest me (sorry 😬).
I liked Penny’s witty side and found Rafe to be a bit less of an alphahole than his older brother. I also enjoyed the banter between Penelope and Raphael. I wouldn’t have minded Penny being pettier with Rafe – make him sweat girl!
Even though these two characters were at each other’s throats all the time, I enjoyed the sweeter moments between them as well.
In the end, although I enjoyed the story and give it 5 stars, I still have a couple of criticisms to make:
—Are the Visconti brothers able to seduce women over 21?
—Can the characters express themselves in ways that don’t include sticking their p*n*s in a car door or getting a tooth ache from sweet moments?
I’m asking for a friend (I’m the friend).
