Ten Big Ones: A Stephanie Plum Novel by Janet Evanovich

3.0

Stephanie is in danger. Somebody wants her dead. Somebody who is very capable of making her dead. Ranger and Morelli to the rescue. They go all out, each in his own way, to protect her.

Stephanie has various misadventures with Lula while attempting to apprehend various quirky bond-jumpers.

Stephanie's car(s) get trashed.

Stephanie's family is nuts - none more so than Grandma Mazur. Dinner at the parents' house is a zoo, but the payoff is dessert. Always there is dessert.

Sally Sweet makes a return appearance and this time he's driving a school bus and carrying an Uzi. Lucky for Stephanie, because this time his school bus and Uzi are her salvation. Morelli and Ranger arrive on the scene a few minutes later and everybody is cool and happy.

In other words, same old, same old. It's an entertaining read, but it would be nice, at some point, to have a story with these characters that is not quite so formulaic and predictable.
