Not my favorite Okorafor story. I love the setting - a corporation-controlled Nigeria, where technology has enabled them to generate lots of energy out in the desert and then carry it to where it can be used (and sold).
I never connected with the main character. And that's my problem with it. How her relationship broke down never rang true for me - if he hated her artificial limbs and implants, why get with her in the first place? And we don't get enough of her - who she is - until the last chapter.
I'll continue to steer people towards Binti.
