Sorry, not sorry. Seriously, I was curious about this book but felt grossed out right from the beginning. The idea that YOU can fix all your problems, plus the constant fat-shaming of “twenty pounds overweight”, shaming about unhealthy abusive relationships, etc. I wanted to throw up. It sounded like she might have some real ideas for dealing with trauma and other issues, but it’s so superficial.
Oh, and she works with MLM companies, which is totally gross.
Not loving the slut-shaming that was implied about being a booty call and how could SHE, a perfect Christian girl be there??
Also, after being exposed to brilliant POC authors, this fails so hard at getting anything meaningful.
I suppose I fall into a similar class as her, but I wish her bullshit was WAAAAAYYYY far away from me.
