When We Meet Again by Dean Hughes

This series follows the fictional Thomas family through World War II. I couldn't put these books down and I fell in love with this family. Hughes does a wonderful job of showing how all types of people are affected by war, not just americans. I found myself crying and laughing with the characters and rooting for them to all make it through the war. One more thing I loved was that he went into depth about how the war affects everyone after it's over, especially the soliders. If you are looking for a good historical fiction series, this is it!
