The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin

Did not finish book. Stopped at 75%.

I was really excited about this book, but I just couldn’t finish it. I found the found the multiple povs especially the second person pov and uncertain timelines to be jarring and confusing. None of the characters were even that likable. I enjoy reading morally grey characters with issues that make you kinda hate them, but these just didn’t invoke any emotional connection for me (good or bad). The plot is very slow as well, and despite lots of clues and worldbuilding, nothing substantially moved the story forward or seemed climactic.
