Just Once Chance is a second chance romance with a twist of suspense and book #3 in the Kingston Family series. I was super curious to read more about the quiet and guarded Kingston brother; Xander is the second oldest sibling in the Kingston family. As always the Kingston siblings are a great family! I love Carly Phillips' world build up; how she prepares each book in a series by leaving little easter eggs, giving you an idea how the storyline is going to play out in the next installment. And I'm super excited to read the youngest brother Dash's story next year!! Xander and Sasha have a history, they were madly in love with each other until the day Sasha broke Xander's heart by picking her acting career over him. I enjoyed read Xander and Sasha's story, and I think it's my favorite so far in this series. Especially, seeing Sasha wanting to make amends; trying to see if they had another shot at their relationship. As well as seeing Xander's vulnerable side as he was dealing with his insecurities. The chemistry between them never diminished, it only evolved. And there were pretty steamy scenes.

Sasha Keaton is a famous actress; she's career driven and passionate about her work. But she's on the verge of burnout; she's questioning herself, whether she wants to continue her career or not. When one of his books is about to be adapted into a motion picture guess who is the leading actress? Sasha. Sasha wants to make amends, she's aware how badly their relationship ended. Of course, they can't deny the physical attraction for one another, but Xander has his walls up; he's not going to allow Sasha back into his heart once again. Working together in close proximity, Xander and Sasha need to face the unresolved issues between them, and now, they are under the same roof. Because Sasha is receiving threats, and Xander wants to protect her.
