Rise of the Tudors by Conn Iggulden

5.0

I loved this series and I loved this final book in the series (although I give it 4.5 stars really because the ending did feel rushed). I loved that Warwick the "Kingmaker" was depicted sympathetically and also enjoyed the fact that Richard wasn't a one dimensional villain (although I don't think he was Saint either like Richardians do and I think he had the motive and was responsible for killing his nephews). I think Richard was loyal and loved his brother but he was also a Plantagenet and the opportunity to have ultimate power changed his loyalties and actions. A 5th book would have enabled a more detailed look at Richard's 2 year reign and the women involved, such as Henry Tudor's mother (Margaret Beautfort) and eventually his wife (Elizabeth of York) which united the white and red rose. But the writing is excellent and I can't wait to read this author's next series.
