I've never read anything by James Rollins before but I shall be checking out some of his other work after enjoying this. It does involve some suspending of disbelief and there's a might too much action and adventure but it really had me hooked almost from the first page. I didn't hate the female character and the villains weren't too one-dimensionally evil *mwuahahaha* and I thought the whole pace of the thing was good. The plot whizzed along and I didn't find myself bored or not interested in reading further on any occasion. I highly recommend if you want an action-packed thriller that skirts the edge of too much then this is for you.
