Always grateful for Kevin Wilson who writes stories about the power of art and outsiderdom in a way that always make me feel so seen and heard.
It doesn’t hurt that this story goes down as smooth as a glass of ice cold water on a hot day.
What did hurt (but in a good way) was his meditation on nostalgia, childhood, friendships, the things/people that imprint on us and make it so we are never the same again. The moments that make us, the selves we leave behind, and the sense of loss and love we can feel for it all (at the very same time).
