vickis 's review for:
600 Hours of Edward
by Craig Lancaster
You know all those other books about people with Aspergers? This is not one of those books. This book is not about the disability or the strangeness. This book is about human connection.
Edward Stanton has lived life by his routines for years, eating the same foods daily, recording "data," watching Dragnet. But, over the course of 600 hours or 25 days, his life begins to change as he interacts with a few people. Some of the interactions are painful. There is loss. There is also amazing growth. And I must say the online dating first date preparations are very funny.
Well worth reading. And...I spoke to the author at a book signing. This is a NaNoWriMo book - which means, get out there and write.
